The Sacramento Kings have added a couple really fun additions to their training camp roster ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
Spotrac's Keith Smith reported the new signings on Saturday: Jameer Nelson Jr. and Jaylin Williams.
Yes, that's the son of the former Orlando Magic All-Star guard, and no, that's not the same Jaylin Williams as the one that plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nelson Jr. played five seasons of college basketball: two at George Washington, two at Delaware and one at TCU.
He averaged 20 points per game in his final season with the Blue Hens, allowing him to transfer up to the Horned Frogs, where he put in 11 points per game in his final season.
Nelson Jr. played with the San Antonio Spurs in Summer League.

This Williams played his college basketball at Auburn.
He spent five seasons with the Tigers and averaged 9.3 points per game in his college career. Williams is a 6-foot-8 forward who was a top-100 recruit when he arrived in college.
These are both long shots to make the Kings, but they've got real chances to end up in the G League and contribute at that level to try and prove themselves.
It's not a bad idea for Sacramento to add some more talent as the season approaches. You never know who might work out better than anyone expects.
