The Philadelphia Phillies have one of the best sluggers in modern baseball, as Kyle Schwarber has been among the league's best power hitters since signing with the team ahead of the 2022 MLB season.

Every year that he's been in Philadelphia, the Phillies have made the postseason, with the Phillies on the cusp of clinching the NL East in mid-September in the best year he's had in his professional career.

But he's going to be a free agent this offseason, and his market is a big deal for the Phillies and Schwarber. MLB.com writer Mark Feinsand shared a prediction from MLB executives for Schwarber in free agency, with the Phillies DH seeing a deal potentially north of $120 million this winter.

Kyle Schwarber is predicted to land a big contract this offseason

In the article from Feinsand, multiple front office executives around baseball were asked about Schwarber's upcoming free agency. Many expressed a belief that, due to his inability to play the field effectively, Schwarber won't see a massive deal.

However, these front office executives still believe that Schwarber will be paid handsomely this offseason, with Feinsand laying out their overall prediction for the fan favorite slugger's free agent prediction.

"Among those we spoke to," Feinsand writes, "the consensus is that Scwharber should land a deal of four or five years for at least $30 million per season."

Such a contract would either be a four-year, $120 million deal or a five-year, $150 million deal. Both would be very expensive contracts for a full-time designated hitter, but Schwarber's impact on the team is massive and goes beyond just his incredible numbers.

He's beloved in the Phillies clubhouse and by the fanbase. Schwarber is also a player who can age well, as his hitting prowess is something that won't disappear with age.

So far in 2025, Schwarber has an MLB-best 126 RBIs with an NL-leading 51 home runs. It's his best season as a professional, and he's helped the Phillies build a 13-game lead over the New York Mets with only 13 games to play.

Schwarber signed a four-year, $79 million deal in 2022 and will now get close to double that contract this winter, if the Phillies ink him to a five-year deal.

While the middle of the season rumors had the Phillies worried about losing Schwarber, a lot of the rumors going around have the Phillies as adamant that Schwarber isn't going anywhere.

The fans, front office, and players all want him back. Schwarber is open to returning as well. There's no reason not to bring him back, even if the contract is a massive $30 million per season over five years for a full-time designated hitter.

He's been awesome in Philadelphia, and Dave Dombrowski should have no reason not to bring him back for the next few seasons after 2025 comes to a close.
