The Tampa Bay Buccaneers managed a good win in Week 1, downing the Atlanta Falcons, and now there are some positive updates on a key injured duo.
With tackle Tristan Wirfs and Chris Godwin on the sidelines, that is two crucial offensive pieces for Josh Grizzard that are coming back to further bolster what is, on paper, one of the best offenses in football.
But it has been a slow burn for the duo...until now.
As the Buccaneers' attention turns to Week 2 and the Houston Texans, both Wirfs and Godwin hit the practice field on Thursday.
Much to the delight of Baker Mayfield.
"Good," Mayfield said of his thoughts on the pair practicing. "Obviously, those two guys important guys for this building as a whole, whether they're on the field or off the field. It's good to see them though, Chris flying around, getting them back out there, just brings a little extra juice to practice."

When will injured Buccaneers duo return?
Given that the pair have just gotten back to practicing, one would imagine that the Buccaneers would want to do some sort of ramp-up period for both.
Why? Because the last thing head coach Todd Bowles would want is to rush back the duo and for them to break down. So, a slow approach might be needed for the offensive duo, and it will be music to fans' ears when they do suit up again.
When will that be? Bowles stated both "could be" in line to play against the Texans, but we think that game will come too soon.
But make no mistake about it, the return is edging closer.
