When will Rashee Rice return? Andy Reid coy on star WRs availability image

The final infinity stone is about to be placed on Patrick Mahomes' offensive gauntlet, with Rashee Rice set to return for the Kansas City Chiefs with his suspension now over.

With Kansas City riding high after the 30-17 win over the Detroit Lions, now the AFC champs get their best offensive weapon back. However, getting back into the swing of things might take time; after all, Rice isn't likely expected to come straight in and be able to play 60+ snaps on Sunday off the bat.

But what do things look like for the receiver as he makes his comeback after his six-week suspension, and is he in line to take the field in Week 7?

“I know he's been working like crazy, and I think it's just a matter of getting him back in the swing,” head coach Andy Reid said. ‘I'm not going to tell you, I've got to see it to work through it, but I know he's in good shape. I think that'll be important, him coming back in there and getting with Patrick, getting on the same page, and that whole deal.

"We'll just see how all that works out. We haven't put the game plan in yet, so we're working through all that now.”

Healthy Chiefs officially a problem

Sitting at 3-3, the Chiefs are still in the Super Bowl hunt after many thought this team was done a few weeks ago, and after the Lions win, coupled with the return of Rice, things are looking up in Kansas City.

And that spells trouble for the rest of the league.

With Mahomes playing to a near-MVP level over the past couple of weeks, we then add in Xavier Worthy, Travis Kelce, Marquise Brown, and Juju Smith-Schuster all making plays, to then add in Rice, and then the defense playing far better, everything is coming up Kansas City.

The AFC kings were thought to be dead in the water in 2025 - but now, with a much healthier roster, they are ready for battle.

Buckle up, folks, the Chiefs are back.
