The Kansas City Chiefs knew that the early part of the season was going to be a challenge, especially when Xavier Worthy went down with an injury just a couple of plays into Week 1.
Already without Rashee Rice, Patrick Mahomes didn't have his top two weapons for the first three weeks, and it was noticeable with Kansas City struggling offensively.
But since Worthy has returned, and Rice has gotten back in the building, things are trending upward, and the Chiefs just hung 30 points on the Detroit Lions in a win on Sunday night.
And for Mahomes, he knows what is great about this offense.
“The great thing about this offense is it can come from everywhere,” Mahomes said. “Hollywood [Brown], Tyquan’s had big games, Xavier's [Worthy] had big games, Travis [Kelce] obviously, other guys. Now we're getting Rashee [Rice] back, it's all about building depth. I think that [Brett] Veach has done a great job with that.
"Those guys love each other, that receiving room, they want each other to do good, and when you have that mindset as a whole room, you can have a lot of success.”

At 3-3, the Chiefs' season is very much alive, and when you factor in that two of these wins have been against top teams in the Baltimore Ravens (with Lamar Jackson) and then the Lions, this team can still match it with the best.
With the offense getting healthier, thanks to Worthy's return and Rice's possible return next week, Mahomes' offensive gauntlet will be complete. Like Thanos, one snap of the fingers, and this unit will be back to 100 percent, ready for takeoff.
With the Washington Commanders and Buffalo Bills up in the next three weeks, the Chiefs have a chance to really put themselves back into the Super Bowl conversation, as many are still skeptical of Andy Reid's team and their ability to be consistent.
But beat the Commanders and the Bills? Yeah, the entire NFL will be put on notice - the Chiefs are back.
