The Dallas Cowboys' defense has been one of the worst in football through the first six weeks of the season, and it hasn't been close.
Matt Eberflus' defense can't stop the run (cue shocked face) and sees receivers run wide open routinely, and when you combine those two things, you get a defense that allows an average of 30 points per game.
There doesn't seem to be much light at the end of the tunnel, even with linebacker DeMarvion Overshown coming back in the next handful of weeks, and while many aren't confident at all that Eberflus' defense can turn it around, they have one person who is -- Dak Prescott.
"I practice against them," Prescott said on why he's confident the defense can turn things around. "They're an NFL group. Practice against them all offseason. I know the guys as people, not just players, and how they're made up. I know they're as pissed as anybody is. I know their standards, and as a teammate, I got a lot of confidence they'll get it going."

Cowboys offense being wasted by defense
Dak and Co. are putting up points for fun, averaging 29.7 points per game, but when you have a defense allowing 30, you won't win many games.
Prescott is playing at an MVP level, completing 71.6 percent of his passes, throwing for 1,617 yards, 13 touchdowns, and just three interceptions, while George Pickens, Javonte Williams, Jake Ferguson, and Co. have all had their time in the sun.
Yet, the defense just can't get opposing offenses off the field, and it has been one of the main reasons for Dallas' 2-3-1 record.
Dak has confidence that things will turn around. But until we see otherwise, color us skeptical on that.
