Thomas Frank secured a vital squad boost on transfer deadline day as the Tottenham boss landed a season-long loan for Randal Kolo Muani.
Spurs' summer featured major investment made by their new boss with loan deals on Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso made permanent alongside a swoop for Mohammed Kudus.
Joao Palhinha's loan from Bayern Munich added some grit to Frank's ranks alongside a superb move for Xavi Simons before wrapping up Kolo Muani in the final hours of the window.
The France international had looked to be heading back to Juventus, after a season-long loan in Turin from PSG last season, with eight Serie A goals scored.
However, after the Italians failed to secure a fresh deal with PSG, Spurs gambled on the 26-year-old to add extra firepower in the post-Son Heung-min era in North London.
A striker was the main focus for Frank as the deadline ticked closer, but his original aim was to land a forward with experience in the Premier League, but Sky Sports claim Crystal Palace dismissed a late enquiry for Jean-Phillippe Mateta.

Mateta has become a cult hero at Selhurst Park, with 30 goals in his last two top-flight campaigns, and Palace extended his contract until 2027 last summer.

Palace infamously blocked Marc Guehi's move to Liverpool on deadline day and they would not listen to offers on Mateta.
