Real Madrid vs. Mallorca prediction, lineups, odds and bet builder tips as Alonso looks to continue 100% La Liga start image

Real Madrid take on Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu looking to continue their fine start to La Liga life under Xabi Alonso.

Los Blancos have won both of their opening two games against Osasuna and Real Oviedo, scoring four and conceding zero goals in the process. Kylian Mbappe has been the star man as he was last season, scoring three times since inheriting the No.10 shirt.

Vinicius Junior's late strike at Oviedo was also a hugely welcome bonus, and Alonso will be hoping it will spark the Brazilian to return to his brilliant best.

On the other hand, Mallorca are winless. Jagoba Arrasate's side had an opening game to forget, losing two players to red cards in a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona at home. They followed that up with 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo. Can they stun Real and get their first three points here?

The Sporting News previews this one with the latest betting odds, tips and predictions.

Real Madrid vs. Mallorca prediction

Mallorca are a decent side, but they should pose little threat to Real at the Bernabeu.

With Mbappe and Arda Guler in red hot form and Vinicius back in the goals, this should be a comfortable one for the hosts.

Real are heavy 1/5 favourites with Ladbrokes, with Mallorca rank outsiders at 12/1. The draw is 11/2.

The Sporting News' Score Prediction: Real Madrid 3-0 Mallorca

  • Real Madrid to beat Mallorca at the Bernabeu is given a 83.3% probability by Ladbrokes.

Real Madrid vs. Mallorca team news

  • There's little need for Alonso to change a winning formula, which means Dani Carvajal will likely start ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold again.
  • Vinicius Junior might come in for Franco Mastantuono after his goal last weekend though.
  • Manu Morlanes and Vedat Muriqi are both back from their one-game bans for reds against Barca, and should return to the starting XI.

Real Madrid vs. Mallorca Bet Builder tips

Our bet builder for this game is Real to win with a -2 handicap, to be ahead at both half time and full time, both teams not to score and Mbappe to score again. That is currently just under 10/1 with Bet365
