Barcelona haven't had the best of starts to their 2025/26 season as they suffered consecutive defeats against PSG and Sevilla heading into the international break.
With the season resuming once again, the Blaugrana are desperately looking for wins to close the gap between them and the La Liga leaders Real Madrid.
Overall Barcelona are in dire straits with several players getting injured due to various reasons and that too only two weeks before the season's first El Clasico.
Among all the players, Barcelona are desperately looking to replace Robert Lewandowski next summer as he is already 37, struggling with injuries and form.
The Blaugrana have created a proper shortlist of forwards who could replace the Polish marksman as a part of an important succession plan.
According to reports via Florian Plettenberg, Barcelona are monitoring the development of Hoffenheim and Kosovo striker Fisnik Asllani, who could leave Bundesliga next summer.

The young striker reportedly has a release clause which have been informed to Barcelona as he is keen to make a move to Camp Nou next summer.
"My dream club have always been FC Barcelona. I’ve always wanted to play there," the 23-year-old Hoffenheim star told BILD in a recent interaction where he made no secret of his inclination towards Barcelona.
Who is Barcelona target Fisnik Asllani?
Asllani is a Hoffenheim academy product who had a brilliant loan outing last season at SV Elversberg, a team in the second tier of the Austrian football.
He netted 19 goals in 37 appearances for Elversberg last season and looking at his heroics, he got another opportunity to shine at Hoffenheim.
This time he has grabbed it with both hands as he has already scored five goals in seven games this season, developing into a key figure for Hoffenheim.
Fisnik Asllani has 8 G/A in 8 starts this season. He’s a 23-year-old striker from Kosovo, playing for Hoffenheim. He’s 1.91m tall, and it’s been reported that his release clause will be active next summer, possibly even under €30M 👀 pic.twitter.com/jPPMp9sqJb

Asllani's sharp finishing and instinctive movement in the final third has helped him earn a lot of plaudits among seven top European teams.
Although he has signed a new contract extension with Hoffenheim, there's reportedly a release clause that allows him to leave next summer for a reasonable fee if approached by a Champions League team.
As per reports, his release clause is expected to be below €30m ($35m) which is an extremely reasonable deal for a young striker who has his best years ahead of him and completely suits Hansi Flick's style of play.
While it would be a punt to sign Asllani based on a single season's performance for Hoffenheim but given the price and the potential there's always an option for Barcelona to sell him at a profit if he fails to live up to the hype at Camp Nou.
Apart from Asllani, Barcelona are also looking at other forwards like Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Serhou Guirassy but they would need to break the bank to sign either one of them.
The La Liga giants are also showing interest in Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic, who is available for free transfer next summer and given he is only 25, Barcelona are willing to invest in him.
Lastly, Asllani has grabbed Barcelona's attention with his performances this season. So, if manages to continue this form throughout the season then he could be one of their priority option next summer.
