The Washington Commanders appeared to give the Green Bay Packers 15 extra yards.

A flag was thrown initially, too, when Percy Butler brought down Matthew Golden a second time on an early punt return.

But then the officials picked up the flag. There was no penalty.

Why weren't Commanders flagged for late tackle on Golden?

The officials must've decided the players were tangled up and that there was no bad intention from Percy Butler.

But it was also pretty clear that Golden was already down.

Butler got off balance, but he wasn't holding Golden's leg when that happened, after the play should've been over.

Then he reached out to grab Golden's right leg with both hands and bring him down again.

It was an odd play, but it didn't set the Packers back. They began the drive at their own 4-yard line, but a couple big gains to Tucker Kraft made it all a moot point.
