The Washington Commanders have an injury concern at the wide receiver position ahead of the Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears on Monday night and it comes in the form of wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
Samuel has been dealing with a bruised heel for a few weeks now and was once again on the injury report this week.
The veteran wide receiver had a limited session sandwiched in between two non-participations at practice during the week and is officially questionable.
Here's what we know about Samuel's chances of playing in Week 6.
Is Deebo Samuel playing tonight?
According to Zach Selby of Commanders.com, Samuel "will play" on Monday night against the Bears.
"McLaurin's absence means the Commanders will need their other options at receiver to step up once again," he wrote. "The Commanders have been fortunate in that regard, as the likes of Luke McCaffrey, who caught a 50-yard pass from Jayden Daniels against the Los Angeles Chargers, and Deebo Samuel, who was on the injury report but will play Monday, have performed well in their expanded role."
As Selby notes, the Commanders won't have the services of Terry McLaurin (quad) and Noah Brown (groin/knee) once again, as both have been ruled out already and neither one has played in weeks.
In their absences, Samuel has been effective in the team's No. 1 wide receiver role. Samuel leads the Commanders with 300 receiving yards and three scores through the air over five contests.
Safe to say, that trade has been a good one for general manager Adam Peters and the Commanders.
Deebo Samuel start or sit advice
Entering Week 6, Samuel was ranked as WR7 overall, which makes him a WR1 and a must-start each and every week, regardless of matchup.
Samuel has a juicy matchup against a Bears defense that is ceding the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers, so there's that, also.
Set and forget Samuel in your lineup for the foreseeable future.
