Commanders injury update for Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel isn't good news image

At least the Washington Commanders are supposed to have Jayden Daniels back out there.

But he might be pretty lonely.

The Commanders ruled out star wide receiver Terry McLaurin, as well as secondary wideout Noah Brown, on Thursday before Sunday's Week 5 game.

They were also missing Deebo Samuel for another day of practice.

McLaurin has already been out, so he was working uphill to get back this week. Brown has been out, too.

The Samuel injury is a newer one, though.

The Commanders really can't afford to be too shorthanded. They're going to want to get back in a groove with Daniels back from his knee injury.

But it'll definitely be a limited bunch, even if Samuel can get back into action while dealing with a heel problem.

It's a big game for the Commanders in the sense of playing another really good team. On the other side will be the Los Angeles Chargers, who are 3-1.

The Chargers were undefeated before a surprise loss to the New York Giants in Week 4. They'll want a bounceback for sure.

The Commanders will see what they can do while a bit light on personnel.
