Mac Jones injury update: Latest news on 49ers quarterback's status in Week 5 game image

The San Francisco 49ers have an injury concern with quarterback Mac Jones in the second half of the Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Jones was first injured in the third quarter after taking several hits on the same drive, but he was able to stay in the game even though he was clearly hobbled.

Jones then took a few more hits in overtime and was once again extremely hobbled while exiting the field and was getting checked out by trainers on the sideline.

UPDATE: Jones is in rough shape on the bench and is getting looked at by trainers.

He's going to have a tough time getting back on the field if the 49ers get the ball back.

UPDATE: Well, it appears Jones is OK.

After staying down on the field, Jones was able to jog off the field on his own. For now, it looks like he'll stay in the game.

Jones was grabbing at his left knee and stayed down on the field for an extended period of time and it doesn't look good.
