The Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs all have a wide receiver issue.

The Steelers don't have a true No. 1 wide receiver behind DK Metcalf, with Calvin Austin being the closest thing. Austin is a solid player, but he's hardly what you'd consider an adequate secondary option in a wide receivers room.

The Chiefs are without Rashee Rice until Week 7 and Xavier Worthy is working his way back from a shoulder injury that could impact him the rest of the season.

The Bills are lacking a true No. 1 wideout. The hope is that Keon Coleman steps into that role, but he has yet to do so. Guys like Joshua Palmer and Khalil Shakir are strong targets in the passing game, although nobody would mistake them for alphas in a wide receivers room.

Pro Football & Sports Network's Josh Weil has linked the three teams as those that could make a push to trade for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Tyreek Hill, one of the most electrifying players in the whole league, is in an offense that is totally out of sync and is not getting him the ball in the open for him to do what he does best. If the Dolphins decide to take calls on Hill, there will be a plethora of teams lining up for his services, and this trade could be essential for an offense to take the next step to becoming Super Bowl-ready. He is that good.

Seeing him return to Kansas City would be interesting, but, in my opinion, there are a few better options for him to achieve the target share he wants and receive the return on investment of both the capital invested in him and his salary.

Potential suitors: Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs

Trade rumors and speculation have been swirling around Hill ever since he said he wanted out of Miami last season, a comment he eventually walked back. However, it feels like a Hill trade is inevitable, especially with the Dolphins at 0-3.

One thing that could prevent Hill from getting traded is recent accusations of domestic violence from his ex-wife, which the NFL is investigating.

Hill was once one of the league's elite wide receivers, but that label is peeling off rapidly after a lackluster showing in 2024 and an uninspiring start to 2025.

It should be noted, however, that Hill was playing through a wrist injury last season and he didn't have Tua Tagovailoa for a handful of games, so take that for what it's worth.

We can immediately rule out the Bills as a possible landing spot for Hill, as Miami is highly unlikely to trade him within the division. Even if the Dolphins were willing, we don't think Buffalo would want the potential problem that Hill is.

The Steelers and Chiefs are a different story.

The Dolphins wouldn't mind trading Hill to either one, and both teams would stand to benefit greatly from acquiring Hill, even if he isn't at the top of his game anymore.

Hill would be an instant upgrade for the Steelers over anyone not named Metcalf, and Hill would immediately become the No. 1 or 2 wide receiver in Kansas City because of his past success with Patrick Mahomes.

If we had to bet, we'd guess the Steelers are more likely to trade for Hill, but both teams are logical potential landing spots.
