The Pittsburgh Steelers have an injury concern with defensive lineman Cameron Heyward in the second half of the Week 1 game against the New York Jets.
Heyward was shaken-up after a play midway through the fourth quarter when the Jets were threatening to score. Heyward was down on one knee for quite some time and was tended to by trainers.
Thankfully, Heyward was able to walk off the field under his own power, but we still don't know exactly what he's dealing with. We'll provide any updates we get on Heyward's status below.
Cameron Heyward injury updates
As previously noted, Heyward was able to walk off the field under his own power. He seemed to be indicating the injury was something with his head or eye, but we can't say for sure.
Cam Heyward getting tended to after the play. Looks like he got poked in the eye on third down.

We'll update this page when more information becomes available.
Pittsburgh's defense is already having a rough day, so the unit can ill-afford to lose one of its best players. The Steelers are already without rookie Derrick Harmon.
