Micah Parsons slams Eagles for four straight tush pushes vs. Giants image

The Philadelphia Eagles went a bit overboard with the tush push in the first half of the Week 6 game against the New York Giants.

In the second quarter, the Eagles ran the controversial play four times in a row, starting at the three-yard line.

The fourth tush push found pay dirt for Philly, giving the Eagles a 17-13 lead over Big Blue.

After that series, Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons, who is no stranger to the tush push from his days with the Dallas Cowboys, was disgusted at what the Eagles did and took to X to make it known.

As if it wasn't bad enough that the Eagles ran the tush push four times in a row on the drive, Giants defensive lineman D.J. Davidson suffered an injury and had to be carted to the locker room.

There has been no shortage of controversy when it comes to the tush push and there was even a debate about banning the play.

However, when it came to a vote on a proposal to ban the play, it fell short, with 22 out 32 teams voting in favor of the proposal. A total of 24 votes were needed.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported in September that there is no guarantee a ban will be put to another vote in 2026.

"One source told ESPN that, after the hotly contested conversation the play raised last offseason and the emotions it aroused, he believes the issue needs to be tabled for a year before it could be raised again," Schefter reported.

The play has been surrounded by even more controversy lately, as Eagles linemen have been spotted moving before the snap, something officials always miss.

It happened again on Thursday night against the Giants, but no flag was thrown.
