Where is A.J. Brown?

That was the question everyone was asking for the first half of the NFL regular season's curtain raiser between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles' star wide receiver was a no-show. Fans on social media weren't even sure if Brown was playing.

Brown was definitely out there, the big wideout in his signature No. 11. But he wasn't involved until the very final moments of Thursday's game.

A.J. Brown receiving yards vs. Cowboys

A.J. Brown had the worst first half you could imagine against Dallas.

Brown's first-half stats:

  • 0 targets
  • 0 receptions
  • 0 receiving yards

The Eagles led going into the half even with no production from Brown.

Devonta Smith wasn't much better, with just one catch.

Jalen Hurts ran for two touchdowns, and Saquon Barkley ran for another.

The Eagles took a 21-20 lead to the intermission.

Philadelphia went on to win, 24-20, in a weird finish that involved a lightning delay.

Brown made one catch, on the final drive.

His final stats:

  • 1 target
  • 1 reception
  • 8 receiving yards

The catch set up a third-and-3, which Hurts ran for to win the game.

All's well that ends well (except for Brown's fantasy owners).
