Is A.J. Brown playing tonight? Latest updates on Eagles WR's injury status vs. Cowboys image

A.J. Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles begin their Super Bowl title defense Thursday night.

The Dallas Cowboys take on their NFC East rivals in a huge clash to raise the curtain on the NFL's 2025 regular season with a loaded slate of Week 1 games to follow.

All eyes are on Philly to open the season, with a high-powered offense mostly intact from the team that lifted the Lombardi Trophy, but still some question marks on a defense that had to plug a lot of gaps.

Is A.J. Brown playing today?

Yes, A.J. Brown is playing on Thursday night against the Cowboys.

The Eagles' star WR made it clear early in the week. Brown said, via the Philadelphia Enquirer, "Hell yeah" he'd play against Dallas.

The star WR missed chunks of training camp with a hamstring injury.

He initially left practice on Aug. 1. Reports indicate he was back at practice Sunday.

Last season, Brown missed three games with a hamstring problem, but it appears he's over that at least for right now.

Brown has been Philly's top WR through his first three seasons in the City of Brotherly Love, and he'll get a chance to keep that going in the season opener.
