The New York Jets are 0-5 to begin the 2025 NFL season, and with the poor record comes plenty of trade speculation. Fans of top contenders around the league peruse the Jets roster for players who could help their favorite teams.
One player who's been in such trade rumors this season the most has been Jets running back Breece Hall. The former second-round pick has garnered plenty of trade interest, and if the Jets continue to lose games, he could be a hot trade candidate.
However, ahead of the Jets' Week 6 matchup against the Denver Broncos in London, Hall was asked by reporters what his thoughts were on he trade rumors surrounding him. Hall's answer didn't leave any doubt about his stance on those trade talks and the Jets.
Jets' Breece Hall breaks silence on trade rumors
Jets reporter Zack Rosenblatt for The Athletic shared Hall's answer to his trade rumors on Twitter/X. "I'm here," Hall said. "I wanna be here. I wanna be a New York Jet."

Hall made it clear: he wants to stick with the Jets. Even if the team continues to struggle, and even if they begin trading away some of their players at the deadline, Hall's comment points to the star running back not wanting to leave New York.
The 24-year-old running back was drafted at the 36th pick of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Jets out of Iowa State, and since coming to New York, he's been one of the better running backs in the NFL.
While Hall has yet to hit 1,000 rushing yards in a season, he's been much more than a simple running back. He's one of the best dual-threat backs in the league, posting impressive receiving numbers in his career.
In his rookie season, Hall had 31 targets, which he turned into 19 receptions for 218 yards and a touchdown. In 2023, he logged career highs in targets (95), receptions (76), receiving yards (591), and receiving touchdowns with four.

Last season, he had 483 receiving yards along with 876 rushing yards with eight total touchdowns. His best year was in 2023, when he had 994 rushing yards along with his 591 receiving yards, and nine total touchdowns.
So far in 2025, Hall has 66 carries for 351 yards, 17 receptions for 150 yards, but no touchdowns. The Jets haven't been at their best this season, but Hall is still putting up solid yardage totals.
With Braelon Allen down for a while with an injury, the Jets, if they moved on from Hall, would have a severely depleted running back room. Even though he's a free agent after 2025, the Jets don't have a good reason to move on from Hall, barring a strong return.
Even then, Hall himself doesn't want to be traded. He wants to stay in New York with the Jets. He could sign an extension to stick with the team going forward, as he and Garrett Wilson would be a strong duo to lead the Jets offense going forward.
Regardless of what decision the Jets front office makes by the trade deadline, Hall wants to stick in New York as opposed to landing with a new team. Up through the deadline, there will be plenty of trade rumors surrounding Hall, even though the player himself doesn't want to be moved to a new team this season.
