The New York Jets got an apparent upgrade on Tuesday in a trade with the Tennessee Titans.
It didn't cost much, either.
According to NFL insider Dianna Russini, the Jets are acquiring cornerback Jarvis Brownlee and a seventh-round pick from the Titans in exchange for a sixth-round pick.
It's an almost nothing cost for a cornerback in Brownlee who has been solid this season.

Brownlee was a 2024 fifth-round pick for the Titans, and he's started 16 of his 19 NFL games.
Last season, Brownlee totaled 75 tackles and an interception.
Through the first two weeks of this season, Brownlee had 17 tackles. He didn't play in Week 3.
Brownlee has been the No. 1 run-stopping cornerback in football, according to Pro Football Focus.

The Jets' cornerback room is led by the star Sauce Gardner. Aside from Sauce, though, New York could use some more talent in the CB room, and Brownlee brings that.
It's not exactly clear why the Titans made this trade. Maybe there's more to come out, but for now, it looks like the Jets did good business here.
