All eyes were on New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields this week as he looked to clear concussion protocols, having missed the Week 3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with Tyrod Taylor stepping in.
Glenn stated last week that if players haven't practiced by Friday, that generally gives him a good indication of their status for Sunday, and prior to practice on Thursday, he gave an update on Fields.
“Justin will be practicing, but he’ll still be going through the protocol,” Glenn said. “So, we have to make sure that’s clear.”
So that was a good start, but as we know, it will be what Fields does in practice that will be key in properly assessing his ability to return in Week 4.
Well, Jets fans, he was a full participant in practice, with ESPN's Rich Cimini posting on X that Fields is "definitely trending toward a starting nod" on Sunday.

Should Jets start Justin Fields vs. Dolphins?
It will all be how he recovers from practice, and we also have to factor in that Taylor did finish with a flurry against the Buccaneers, nearly pulling off the comeback win.
So, Glenn and his coaching staff will have a decision to make, and if Fields is 100 percent healthy, we imagine he will come straight back into the starting lineup on Monday night.
Given how the offense has looked with both Fields and Taylor at times, it has left a lot to be desired. However, conversely, both have had good moments as well. Offense coordinator Tanner Engstrand is getting some production, but for most, it needs to be more consistent.
Who will give the offense that? It might just be Fields.
