The Chicago Bears are in the middle of the pack when it comes to rushing offense. As a result, it's an area of the team that can be improved heading into the NFL trade deadline on November 4.
Through three games this 2025 NFL season, the Bears have recorded 340 rushing yards, which is 15th in the NFL, per Pro Football Reference. Moreover, Chicago are 18th in the league regarding rushing yards per attempt.
As a result, could the Bears dip into the trade market to find a player that can complement or turn D'Andre Swift into a complementary running back?
Could the Bears make a trade?
On Thursday's edition of "The Mully & Haugh," co-host David Haugh floated the idea of Chicago being a suitor for New York Jets running back Breece Hall. New York are 0-3 to start the season and perhaps could be willing to make a trade if the offer is right.
"Breece Hall is somebody who would fit perfectly in any offense, I believe," Haugh said. "That's overstating it. He's a 1A running back. He's a dangerous dual threat. He would be somebody that bears—he'd be really good here. Could justify giving up some draft capital to get him."

Hall would be an amazing add to the Bears offense if they were able to find common ground with New York on the draft capital. The Jets standout has recorded back-to-back seasons with 1300-plus yards from scrimmage.
Suppose Chicago defeat the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4. In that case, they'll get to 2-2, and a two-win streak could be enough for the Bears front office to feel comfortable making a trade to bolster their running game behind Caleb Williams, ensuring the USC product doesn't think he needs to carry this offense.
