The New York Jets had one of the worst offensive performances you will ever see in the Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday in London.
The Jets totaled just 82 yards of total offense, with 92 of those coming on the ground. Yes, that's right, the Jets had -10 net passing yards, as Justin Fields completed nine passes for 45 yards but was sacked nine times for 55 yards.
The Jets managed to score 11 points on three field goals and a safety, but two of those field goals came after they were set up in Broncos territory thanks to a Denver fumble and a long kickoff return from Kene Nwangwu.
The Jets went three-and-out on both of those drives, and they went three-and-out on seven of their 12 drives on Sunday.
With Fields struggling mightily with errant throws and holding on to the football too long, many were wondering if the Jets might make a switch at quarterback.
However, head coach Aaron Glenn made it clear he's sticking with Fields.
"Justin Fields will start next week. Aaron Glenn not considering a QB change at all. Said it’s not all on Fields," Connor Hughes of SNY reported.
The Jets are now 0-6 and going nowhere fast. They are committed to Fields through next season after signing him to a two-year, $40 million during the offseason.
From a competitive standpoint, it makes sense to turn to Tyrod Taylor, as Fields clearly is not the answer in New York.
But there is also no future with the 36-year-old quarterback, which is probably why the Jets want to see if Fields, 26, can figure things out moving forward.
