The last thing the New York Giants' offense can afford in the Week 3 matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs is a down game from wide receiver Malik Nabers.
The 2024 No. 3 overall pick has already established himself as one of the better wide receivers in the NFL after an impressive rookie season that saw him finish with 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
Entering Sunday, Nabers has posted 14 catches for 238 yards and two touchdowns and is coming off a 167-yard performance in Week 2.
So, what's behind Nabers' quiet start to Week 3? Let's find out.
Is Malik Nabers playing tonight?
UPDATE: We're on the board!
Nabers has his first catch early in the fourth quarter, but it only went for four yards.
END OF UPDATE
UPDATE: We are through an entire half and Nabers still has zero catches on three targets. His most recent target was intercepted on a pass in the end zone.
Wilson is having an off night and Nabers is facing good coverage from the Chiefs, also. It's not looking good for the young wideout's chances of making a big impact this week.
END OF UPDATE
Nabers is active, healthy and in the lineup, he just hasn't caught a pass from Russell Wilson yet. Nabers was targeted once on a deep ball but he and Wilson couldn't connect.
The Giants have got to do more to get Nabers involved or else they won't stand a chance against the reigning AFC champions.
