The Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants have at least one thing in common: they both need a wide receiver.

The Steelers have been in need of wide receiver help all season long. DK Metcalf was acquired to be the No. 1, but after trading George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys, the Steelers don't have a legit No. 2.

In New York, the Giants lost No. 1 receiver Malik Nabers for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL, which leaves rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart with lackluster weapons like Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton, who is also injured.

Three names that have been on the radar of fans ahead of the trade deadline are the New Orleans Saints' Chris Olave, the Las Vegas Raiders' Jakobi Meyers and the Miami Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle, all of whom are on terrible teams.

However, only one of those wideouts appears to be available, according to reports.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed that the Dolphins are telling inquiring teams they have no interest in trading Waddle.

"Several teams have called the Dolphins about star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, and sources say those teams have been told Miami has no interest in trading him," Rapoport said. "Similar to Simmons for Tennessee, dealing Waddle would signal a look to the future rather than trying to win now. While things can change, it seems far more likely Miami would be willing to deal an edge rusher (perhaps Matt Judon, Bradley Chubb or even Jaelan Phillips)."

As for Olave, things aren't looking great for the Steelers and Giants on that front, either, as The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported the Saints are actually trying to extend Olave, which is a sign they don't intend to trade him.

"The Saints have been trying to work out a long-term contract for receiver Chris Olave despite his name being attached to teams looking for pass catchers," she reported.

Meyers appears to be a different story, though.

Russini says the Raiders are open to trading their top wide receiver, and Rapoport adds that teams believe he will be available.

"The Raiders are open to moving receiver Jakobi Meyers, while making calls on defensive linemen and corners," Russini wrote

"A few teams have spotlighted Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers as a potential trade target," Rapoport wrote. "With win-now coach Pete Carroll, though, it's not a given the organization agrees to a trade that hurts them in the present. Las Vegas has made no out-going calls. Meyers, who requested a trade in August to no avail, also is in the final year of his contract and could be a rental for an acquiring team."

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler echoed Rapoport, but also noted the Raiders are not actively shopping him.

"Teams I've spoken to believe the Raiders are open to trading wide receiver Jakobi Meyers but are not actively trying to move him," he explained. "The sense is the Raiders would prefer to play out the season before making major determinations about the roster.

"But Meyers requested a trade in the preseason, so a potential deal feels at least on the table."

There is no doubt that both Olave and Waddle are the more attractive options thanks to their age and the fact they're under contract in 2026.

But don't poo-poo an addition of Meyers. He's been very productive during his career despite routinely having a lackluster situation at quarterback, and he possesses one of the best pair of hands in the NFL.

He would provide a massive upgrade for both the Giants and Steelers.
