It didn't take long for Younghoe Koo to get another chance.

The Atlanta Falcons kept their long-time kicker inactive in Week 2 and released him before Week 3.

Now, he has signed with the New York Giants, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Koo will initially be on the Giants' practice squad.

New York's current kicker is Graham Gano, a veteran with a solid right leg. Gano did deal with an injury on Sunday Night Football, missing a portion of the game but working through it to make a short field goal in the second half.

Koo has a longer NFL future than Gano at this point, so if the Giants liked what they saw, they could keep him around.

The Falcons cut Koo in favor of Parker Romo, who then went out and missed both his field goal attempts in Week 3.

Koo was Atlanta's kicker dating to the 2019 season.

He had his worst NFL season last year, making only 73.5% of his field goal attempts. Koo had never been below 86% for a season before that.

A rough Week 1 for Koo spelled his end with the Falcons.

But the Giants appear to be betting on his longer pedigree, and it might be a move that pays off in the long run for the G-Men.
