Where is Taysom Hill? Latest update on New Orleans Saints star QB-TE’s return from injury image

The New Orleans Saints appear to be heading for a rough 2025 NFL season.

And it’ll be even tougher because of one guy who isn’t around.

Usually, the Saints can rely on Taysom Hill to add some entertainment value to their days.

But an injury will prevent Hill from doing that, at least in the early stages of this season.

The Saints will have to get by with just standard QBs like Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough, and a normal tight end, like Juwan Johnson.

They did sign a combo player just last week, the former Montana State QB Tommy Mellott who is trying to make it in the NFL as a wide receiver. But he almost certainly is no Hill. Pretty much no one is.

Where is Taysom Hill?

New Orleans Saints star do-everything man Taysom Hill is out with an injury to begin the 2025 NFL season.

Hill tore the ACL in his left knee at the end of a long run in Week 13 of last season.

He had successful surgery on the injury soon after it happened.

This season, Hill starts off with a spot on the physically unable to perform list.

It’s not clear if Hill will always have his same utility role in New Orleans. At some point, it might be called a gimmick.

But the reality is that every NFL coach would use a unique player like Hill if they had the opportunity.

In the meantime, Hill has to wait. It hasn’t been an easy offseason for him with the injury comeback in play, but there are plenty of fans excited to root him on as soon as he gets back on the field.

Hill is unlike any other player in the NFL, and so the football world will hope for Hill to recover from his injury and get back out there to fulfill his unique role as soon as possible.
