The Miami Dolphins have officially lost wide receiver Tyreek Hill for the 2025 season — and he might be out a lot longer than that.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hill tore multiple ligaments upon dislocating his knee on Monday night, which will end his campaign.

Hill's ACL was one of the ligaments torn.

"In addition to dislocating his knee, Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill also tore multiple ligaments in his knee, including his ACL, per sources," Schefter reported. "Hill remains hospitalized and will undergo surgery today."

But not only will the injury keep Hill out for the 2025 season, his status for 2026 is now in doubt, also, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

"Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is set to undergo major reconstruction surgery of multiple ligaments today, putting his status for 2026 in question," Pelissero reported.

Hill is now facing upwards of a year to recover from the injury, which means he could be out until next September, and that's if everything goes perfectly in his rehab.

Bare bones minimum, Hill is likely to not be ready for the start of 2026, but any setback could cancel him out for the campaign entirely.

The eight-time Pro Bowler is under contract through 2026, but it is also the final year of his deal.

If Miami cuts Hill, the team would save $36.3 million next season, per Over The Cap, or $39.1 million with a post-June 1 designation.

We'll see if the Dolphins take that exit ramp and move on from Hill, or if they hold on to him to see if they can maybe flip him upon his return to the field, although that is clearly going to be a risk because of his uncertain status for 2026.
