The Miami Dolphins still have life, even if they are on life support. Miami defeated the New York Jets 27-21 to avoid an 0-4 start.
The Dolphins, however, still have several questions at cornerback, which makes a decision they made on Tuesday even more questionable. Per Ari Meirov, the Dolphins are releasing former second-round pick Cam Smith, who never started a game in Miami.
"The Dolphins have waived CB Cam Smith, their 2023 second-round pick who never started a game," Meirov said on X. "He will get a fresh start."
Smith has played just 153 defensive snaps in two seasons with the Dolphins, getting the vast majority of his in-game action on special teams.
