Dolphins vs. Bills picks: Who experts are predicting will win Week 3 AFC East matchup image

The Week 3 matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins is a perfect example of a game between two teams going in totally opposite directions.

The Bills are riding high following a 2-0 start that includes an incredible comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. In Week 2, the Bills totally dismantled the New York Jets, as we expected.

Meanwhile, things are getting ugly in South Beach. The Dolphins are 0-2 off an ugly loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 and a more competitive — but still disappointing — loss to the New England Patriots in Week 2.

The fact that the Dolphins held a players-only meeting right after Week 1 is all you need to know about how things are going in Miami currently.

The last team the Dolphins want to see right now is the Bills. Not only does Buffalo enter this game red-hot, but Miami has lost six straight matchups against the Bills and a whopping 13 out of the last 14. The Dolphins also haven't won a game in Buffalo since 2016.

You can probably already guess how this is going to go, but here's a look at who experts are picking to win this AFC East showdown.

Bills vs. Dolphins picks, predictions

Vinnie Iyer, The Sporting News: Bills 34, Dolphins 17

Iyer: "The Miami Dolphins are trying their best to get their offense back on track with Tua Tagovailoa with big plays to their speedy trio of Tyreek Hill, De'Von Achane and Jaylen Waddle. But that's one half of getting off the mat. The other is playing any kind of competent offense, which won't happen against Josh Allen and James Cook on the road on a short week."

Bill Bender, The Sporting News: Bills 34, Dolphins 15

Bender: "Mike McDaniel's hot seat will be a topic of conversation here, but the issue at Buffalo will be generating a running game. Miami ranks 29th with 69.5 rushing yards per game – and that comes with a -4 turnover ratio. That's not a recipe for success against Buffalo – which averages 35.5 points per game. The Bills have won the last four regular-season meetings by 14.8 points per game."
