Trade speculation surrounding wide receiver Tyreek Hill continues to heat up as the Miami Dolphins look like a total mess after two games.
After getting smacked by the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, Miami held a players-only meeting, which is rare this early in the season and screams dysfunction.
The result? Another loss in Week 2 to the New England Patriots, where Hill showed clear frustration after he was overthrown on a pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
After Hill made it clear he wanted out of Miami after last season before walking his comment back, and with everything we've seen so far this season, it feels inevitable that Hill will be playing elsewhere at some point in 2025.
Pro Football & Sports Network's Tim Crean agrees, with the analyst naming Hill one of the top trade candidates for 2025.
Crean names the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs, both of whom were linked to Hill in a recent rumor, as the top potential landing spots.
The biggest and most common name on any 2025 NFL trade candidates list is going to be Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The 31-year-old wideout had the worst season of his career last year, and between pouting on the sideline and yet another round of domestic violence allegations, the Dolphins are likely willing to part ways.
The question is, can Miami find a team willing to take on a player who may have lost a step, with over $25 million in salary still guaranteed for this year, and who is a walking domestic violence allegation PR nightmare?
This is the NFL, so despite all these red flags, some teams will be willing to take a chance on all of this if they believe Hill still has some gas in the tank, which is why a trade is absolutely a realistic possibility.
Potential Landing Spots: Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs and Steelers could both use Hill.
Kansas City won't have Rashee Rice until Week 7 thanks to a six-game suspension, and Xavier Worthy's shoulder injury is a major concern for the rest of the season.
The Steelers never added an adequate No. 2 wide receiver behind DK Metcalf after trading George Pickens during the offseason.
Adding Hill to either team would be pure cinema.
Seeing Hill catching passes from future Hall of Famer and lightning rod Aaron Rodgers would be quite interesting, and so would a one-two punch of Metcalf and Hill, as both are considered volatile players.
Of course, Hill has already had a stint in Kansas City, where he became one of the best wide receivers in the NFL before he was dealt to Miami.
Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift and Tyreek Hill all in Kansas City? We need to see it.
One major problem hanging over Hill's head is his off-the-field issues, of which he has had several during his career. The latest is accusations of domestic violence from his estranged wife, which the NFL in investigating and Hill has denied.
That could cause teams to balk at making a trade for him.
That said, if Hill becomes available and the aforementioned issues don't put him at risk of a suspension, we could definitely see both Kansas City and Pittsburgh making a push for him.
