Chargers' Jim Harbaugh offers bold take on new Justin Herbert target image

The Los Angeles Chargers enter the second season of the Jim Harbaugh era. And, the 2025 NFL Draft was once again a smashing success for the new regime in LA.

The Chargers added some talented players to the offense, including North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton, who went in the first round.

In Round 2, the Chargers added a big-time target for Justin Herbert by selecting Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris, adding even more beef to the offense that has one of the best signal-callers in the league.

Harris alongside 2024 breakout star Ladd McConkey is a talented duo at the WR position, and Harbaugh is already loving what he has seen from Harris, per Alex Insdorf

"Strength, toughness, route running ability, production, all those things. He does them all at a high level. I think he's going to be an outstanding pro."

Harris, who was selected No. 55 overall, played his final two seasons at Ole Miss catching passes from Jaxson Dart after beginning his career at Louisiana Tech.

Harris had 1,030 yards with seven touchdowns and 60 receptions, although that was in just eight games after he suffered an injury in October and played just one more game all year.

As of now, Harris and Hampton have not signed their deals, although both rookies will participate in rookie minicamp with hopes of getting a deal done.

So, Herbert's new weapon is already making a strong impression on Harbaugh, who has seen plenty of talented players in his days.
