The Las Vegas Raiders are off to a rough start to the 2025 campaign, as Pete Carroll's squad is 1-3 and is on a three-game losing streak.

Las Vegas fell to the Chicago Bears on Sunday by a score of 25-24, and quarterback Geno Smith was once again a liability. Smith tossed three interceptions and now leads the league in interceptions thrown with seven.

Though it's been just four games, the Raiders may have to start thinking about other options at quarterback if Smith continues to struggle with turnovers. That is why Sports Illustrated's Karl Rasmussen lists Las Vegas as a potential landing spot for New York Giants signal-caller Russell Wilson.

"Would the Raiders be so quick to move on from Smith and bring in Wilson in order to salvage their season? It seems a bit unlikely, but Wilson is on a manageable one-year contract, and the Raiders may feel they can still compete with a change at quarterback after starting the year 1–3," Rasmussen wrote.

Wilson's tenure as New York's starting quarterback was short-lived. The veteran started just three games, tossing three touchdowns to three interceptions before being benched for Jaxson Dart ahead of the team's Week 4 matchup versus the Los Angeles Chargers.

With Dart leading the Giants to their first win of the season over the Chargers on Sunday, it's safe to say he'll be the starter moving forward, meaning Wilson could be on the trade market. The 36-year-old is on a one-year deal and could fetch New York a decent return on the market.

The Raiders had a chance to sign Wilson this offseason, but opted to acquire Smith instead. Though the Super Bowl XLVIII champion could be an upgrade over Smith, trading valuable draft picks for an aging quarterback on an expiring deal wouldn't be a wise move from general manager John Spytek.

Las Vegas is going to have to stick with Smith and hope he turns it around. Trading for Wilson just isn't a realistic possiblity, even though the former Seattle Seahawk played under Pete Carroll for over a decade.
