The Las Vegas Raiders got their season off to a great start by beating the New England Patriots in Week 1. As a result, the Raiders sit in a tie for first place.

Along with the Raiders, the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos also started their seasons off with a win. Meanwhile, the defending AFC champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, are the only team in the division that fell short in Week 1.

Las Vegas had a solid day all around in its 20-13 win.

The offense played pretty well, although there is certainly room for improvement, and the defense was stifling against quarterback Drake Maye and Co.

Here's a look at the full standings in the AFC West.

AFC West standings

1. Los Angeles Chargers (1-0)

2. Denver Broncos (1-0)

3. Las Vegas Raiders (1-0)

4. Kansas City Chiefs (0-1)

The Broncos narrowly escaped with a home victory over the lowly Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

It was an ugly performance for the Broncos' offense, but with a helping hand from their defense and some blunders from Titans head coach Brian Callahan, Denver was able to grab the 20-12 win.

The Chargers won their Friday night contest against the Chiefs, 27-21, in what was the only divisional matchup in the AFC West in Week 1.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert had one of the very best performances of the entire season-opening slate and came up big when it mattered most.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, looked like a mess to start the season and there was nothing Patrick Mahomes could do to overcome it.

The Chargers will travel to Vegas to take on the Raiders next week. The Chiefs will host the Super Bowl champion Eagles and the Broncos will face off with the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.
