The Kansas City Chiefs are locked in a battle with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football and lead 14-7 at halftime.

Patrick Mahomes and the offense have been rolling with 236 total yards of offense, with Mahomes going 14 of 17 for 164 yards and a touchdown while rushing for another.

So, it would be safe to assume that Xavier Worthy would have played a big role in the Chiefs' offense rolling up and down the field, right? Well, not exactly.

In the first half, Worthy had two receptions for -1 yard (yeah, you read that right) while having one nine-yard rush. So, No. 1, in what is his second game back from his dislocated shoulder, has barely been sighted against the Jaguars.

Worthy a slow burn in NFL return

Last week against the Baltimore Ravens, Worthy had five receptions for 83 yards, so it was easy to think that the speedy receiver would pick up where he left off, but in the first half against the Jaguars, he couldn't get anything going.

Tyquan Thornton posted 90 receiving yards from his three receptions, while Marquise "Hollywood" Brown was the next best with 23 yards from his two receptions against Jacksonville.

Yes, it is only one half, and we know that all it will take is a deep bomb from Mahomes to get Worthy rolling again, and we imagine that Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy will get Xavier into the game in the second half.

Because if the Chiefs are to win, he needs to be involved.
