When is Tank Dell coming back? Texans' WR comes to mind after Tyreek Hill injury image

The Houston Texans are missing Tank Dell.

The speedy wide receiver hasn't played this season after a nasty injury during the 2024 campaign.

He came to mind this week after the ugly Tyreek Hill injury on Monday night for the Miami Dolphins.

Hill dislocated his knee and tore multiple ligaments in the process. Dell's was a slightly different injury, a dislocated kneecap with ligament tears.

The Texans certainly wouldn't mind having Dell on the field, but it'll be a while.

When is Tank Dell coming back?

Tank Dell almost certainly won't be playing during the 2025 NFL season.

The Texans hope he can get to full strength and play at his normal level in 2026.

The timing of his injury was part of the problem, in addition to how gruesome it was. Dell didn't damage his left leg until late December, which is different than what Hill just did at the end of September.

The Texans obviously would love to get Dell back, but after an injury like that, some caution will certainly be applied to the situation.

Dell can still have a long NFL career in front of him. It just isn't likely to include 2025.
