The Green Bay Packers might have to alter their preparation for the Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals after their upcoming opponent pulled off a trade on Tuesday.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bengals are acquiring quarterback Joe Flacco in a trade with the Cleveland Browns that will also see a late-round draft selection swap.

The trade comes amid the Bengals missing quarterback Joe Burrow for an extended period of time and his backup, Jake Browning struggling mightily.

The Packers actually squared off against Flacco recently. He was still the starter for the Browns in Week 3 when the two teams faced one in a game that the Browns emerged victorious in, 13-10.

Flacco completed 21-of-36 passes for 142 yards and one interception in the contest. Flacco would go on to lose his starting job to Dillon Gabriel following a putrid showing in Week 4.

With Flacco now in Cincinnati, there is a chance the Packers will face the veteran quarterback twice in three games (Green Bay had a bye in Week 5) with two different teams, which would be a rare occurrence, to say the least.

This time around, Flacco will have much better weapons to work with, as he'll have guys like Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins at his disposal, so don't rule out Flacco having a better game if he plays.

That said, it's hard to imagine Flacco getting into a game with his new team this quickly. After all, he will only have days to learn a completely new playbook.

But never say never when it comes to the Bengals starting Flacco immediately, as their season is already on the brink and desperate times call for desperate measures.
