Jerry Jones delivers positive injury update on Cowboys' injured offensive linemen image

The Dallas Cowboys have seen a rash of injuries along the offensive line this season, as the team was without a total of four starters in Week 5.

Those four starters are Tyler Booker (ankle), Tyler Guyton (concussion), Tyler Smith (knee) and Cooper Beebe (ankle), who is currently on injured reserve.

While Beebe is expected to miss several more weeks with his high-ankle sprain, the Cowboys could be getting back at least one of the other three starters for the Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers, according to owner Jerry Jones.

"Jerry Jones said on [105.3 The Fan], the Cowboys have their 'fingers crossed,' on the return of KaVontae Turpin (foot) this week and said it is possible one offensive lineman could be back," ESPN's Todd Archer reported Tuesday morning.

Booker is dealing with a high-ankle sprain and was initially given a timeline of about four to six weeks, so he seems to be the least likely to be back this week given he has only missed two games thus far.

Concussions are always tricky, so Guyton is probably 50/50 to play at this point.

As for Smith, he was actually active in Week 5 but was only available in an emergency situation. Still, that suggests he's close to playing this week.

Despite not having those four starters, the Cowboys did a great job of protecting Dak Prescott on Sunday, as he was only sacked once. Javonte Williams also had plenty of room to run after he finished with 135 yards on the ground.

That said, the Cowboys can't depend on their backups to keep playing at that kind of level, so the sooner their starters can return, the better.
