The Cleveland Browns fell short in London to the Minnesota Vikings, losing 21-17 on a last-minute touchdown throw from Carson Wentz to Jordan Addison. The offense got the ball to midfield with seven seconds left, but couldn't get any closer before time expired.
Addison was wide open on the touchdown throw in which Denzel Ward was the man in coverage. The star cornerback spoke about the play after the game, taking full responsibility for the play.
"I’ve got to reroute him inside and not leave it so wide for the safety," Ward said via Mary Kay Cabot. "I take full accountability for that."
The Browns will now head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in Week 6, a place they haven't won a regular season game since 2003. On top of that, Mike Tomlin is 26-6 against rookie quarterbacks in his coaching career.
