Browns' exciting Harold Fannin plans revealed in Week 1, making him key fantasy waiver wire pickup image

Harold Fannin Jr. didn't waste any time making an impact for the Cleveland Browns.

And his usage by head coach Kevin Stefanski makes it clear: This is no fluke.

The basic stats for Fannin were these: Seven catches for 63 yards, and a 3-yard rush.

But the advanced stats spell out how much the Browns were trying to get Fannin involved:

The Browns moved him all around the formation, and he was out there on 85% of passing downs, usually at the expense of a No. 3 WR.

One of the notable stats above: 29% targets per route. The Browns threw to Fannin almost a third of the time that he ran a pass route.

All of the above makes Fannin an obvious TE target on the fantasy football waiver wire.

He's coming off the most prolific tight end season in college football history at Bowling Green, and the Browns drafted the Canton-native in the third round in April.

And now he's a heavy focus of their offense right from the start.

Fantasy football is so much about opportunities, and Fannin clearly is going to get some chances to get the ball and make plays. There's a bit of Jonnu Smith similarity here.

If you're in a keeper league or dynasty league and Fannin isn't owned, go get him immediately.

Even in a standard league, he's worth a speculative bench add if you've got the space. If he gets eight touches every week at the tight end spot, that'll be valuable.
