The Buffalo Bills had some good and bad news to share upon delivering some injury updates on Wednesday.

Head coach Sean McDermott revealed before practice that right tackle Spencer Brown, defensive tackle Ed Oliver and linebacker Matt Milano would all be participating in practice, albeit in a limited fashion.

For Oliver and Milano, this is the first practice participation they will see since suffering their injuries. Brown was limited to close out last week and was later inactive for Week 4.

Oliver hasn't suited up since Week 1 because of an ankle injury, while Milano has missed the last two games. A limited session on Wednesday gives both a chance to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Now, for the bad news.

The Bills have three players who are eligible to come off injured reserve this week in kicker Tyler Bass, cornerback Maxwell Hairston and offensive lineman Tylan Grable, but none of the three will return to practice, McDermott added.

In addition to that, McDermott said linebacker Dorian Williams will not practice because of a leg injury. His status for Week 5 is now up in the air.

Bass is still working his way back from a left hip/groin issue that landed him on injured reserve before Week 1. Hairston has been battling an LCL sprain since training camp.
