The Baltimore Ravens will be in serious trouble if quarterback Lamar Jackson is forced to miss any length of time with his hamstring injury.
Unfortunately for them, it appears that might actually happen.
According to The Baltimore Sun's Brian Wacker, Jackson could miss multiple games with his hamstring issue, and more specifically, two to three weeks.
At the very least, it looks like he's not going to play in Week 5.
"Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is likely to miss Sunday’s game against the visiting Houston Texans with a hamstring injury, two sources with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed to The Baltimore Sun on Tuesday," Wacker wrote. "Given the nature of the injury, he also could be out for up to 2-3 weeks, one of the sources said."
Jackson sustained the injury late in the third quarter in the Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs and did not return. He was replaced by Cooper Rush.
There was a silly idea out there that Jackson wasn't really hurt and instead quit on his team during a blowout, but thankfully we can stop hearing that nonsense.
The Ravens not having Jackson for even one game is devastating, as the team has zero margin for error following a disastrous 1-3 start.
Baltimore draws a Week 5 matchup against the Houston Texans at home, and then they host the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6 before a bye in Week 7.
That means we might not see Jackson until Week 8 against the Chicago Bears if he ends up missing the maximum amount of time suggested in the report.
