We've seen some great player introductions on NFL broadcasts over the years and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy has added another memorable one to the list.
At the start of the Ravens-Buffalo Bills game on Sunday night, the NBC broadcast introduced the players on both sides of the ball. Or, should we say, the players introduced themselves.
We've seen players have fun with this over the years and so did Van Noy, who said he went to "Unc University" when it was time to say his college in the intro.
In case you're not familiar, "Unc" is the shortening of "uncle" and typically refers to someone who is getting old, or acting old, according to Merriam Webster.

Van Noy definitely fits the bill. The 11-year veteran turned 34 in March and is one of the elder statesmen on his team and in the NFL.
While he's long in the tooth, Van Noy actually isn't the oldest player on the Ravens' 53-man roster. That distinction belongs to defensive lineman John Jenkins, who is 36 years old.
Van Noy has been a revelation for the Ravens over the past two seasons. He tallied nine sacks in 2023, and then 12.5 sacks in 2024. Those two totals are the two-best marks of his entire career.
It appears Unc is aging like a fine wine.
