Bill Belichick’s long-awaited debut at North Carolina never got off the ground on Monday night. The 48-14 loss to TCU in prime time had many storylines, but probably none more baffling or unexpected than one with Tar Heels backup QB Max Johnson.
As the game quickly unraveled, Johnson was inserted in place of Gio Lopez but didn't do much to stop the bleeding. His appearance prompted On3's Brett McMurphy to bring up Belichick's girlfriend on social media. "Ironically, UNC back-up QB Max Johnson is 24 years old, the same age as Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick's girlfriend," he wrote on X.

Belichick, 73, has a significant age gap of nearly five decades compared to Hudson. The beauty pageant queen played host to NFL legend Randy Moss in a suite, whom Belichick once coached with the New England Patriots. Hudson was set in game day attire in a white tank top and holding a Carolina Blue purse on her arm.
Belichick has said previously he “couldn’t care less” about their age gap “because he appreciates Jordon for the woman that she is.”
As for the game, Belichick wasn't pleased with the outcome. “Obviously, we have a lot of work to do. We need to do a better job all the way around — coaching, playing, all three phases of the game,” he added.
North Carolina moves on to a Week 2 matchup on Saturday night at Charlotte. The rare in-state road affair brings the Tar Heels to the Queen's City (7 p.m. ET on ESPN).
