TCU receiver Eric McAlister was ruled out during Friday's game at Arizona State.
The preseason All-Big 12 wideout and last week's Earl Campbell Award winner played a few snaps to start the game before limping off the field. McAlister was replaced by freshman Dozie Ezukanma and never returned. FOX Sports sideline reporter Josh Sims confirmed he was on the sidelines with a lower body injury.
McAlister was not listed on the injury report throughout the week. He is coming off a huge performance with eight receptions for 254 yards and three touchdowns in TCU’s 35-24 win over SMU. It earned him several national awards as the nation's top receiver in Week 3.
The 24th-ranked Horned Frogs jumped out to a 17-0 lead over ASU without McAlister for most of the first half. However, the Sun Devils stormed back to tie the game at 24 late in the fourth quarter.
McAlister is in the midst of his second season at TCU. The former Boise State transfer has 2,214 yards and 17 touchdowns in his career.
