Just as week 1 of the 2025 college football season officially wraps up. You would think the dust had settled in the Michigan Stallions sign-stealing saga. Well, that is not the case.

CBS Detroit published an article stating that the same Michigan student-athlete who lied to the NCAA about former Michigan linebackers coach Chris Partridge telling players not to cooperate in the investigation. Was also the same person who recorded a phone call with Connor Stallions and illegally recorded computer screens of a Michigan staffer, according to a private investigator.

Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, talked about the article on Barstool's inaugural show on FS1, "Wake up Barstool." He claimed that the Michigan leak was potentially an "Ohio State mole." Portnoy also added, "I don't know how much truth is there, but I'm hearing that potentially this guy was ineligible for breaking the law and Ohio State may have to vacate everything, which would be quite the turn of events."

Portnoy has been very outspoken about the sign-stealing scandal, even appearing in the Netflix documentary, "Untold: Sign Stealer." Defending Stallions' actions to help Michigan win.

Portnoy claims, however, that the Michigan leak was an "Ohio State mole," which wasn't supported in the CBS Detroit article, as there was no mention of Ohio State's involvement.

Safe to say the next time Big Noon Kickoff goes to Columbus, Portnoy's comments will rile up the fanbase even more than last week's claims that Ohio State officials barred him from entering the stadium.
