That's a bit anticlimactic.
Utah Jazz rookie Ace Bailey won't play in his team's first Las Vegas Summer League game.
The Jazz ruled Bailey out with hip flexor soreness, per beat reporter Andy Larsen.
Bailey did play in Salt Lake City in the Utah-hosted Summer League appetizer. He looked about as expected, a tantalizing scoring talent with work still to do on the rest of his game.
When the Jazz play the Hornets on Friday night in Vegas, though, Bailey will just be a spectator.

It's not a huge deal for his long-term development. Whether or not Bailey becomes an NBA star won't depend on him playing the Hornets in July.
But it still stinks for any Jazz fans who may have stopped out in Vegas to watch some hoops.
Hopefully, Bailey gets back out there soon and this isn't a lingering issue.
