The immediate future of LeBron James has been put under the microscope countless times by fans and media members alike, but a new wrinkle to the story may be revealed soon.
Following the Los Angeles Lakers' 111-103 defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors to begin their preseason on Sunday night, James took to social media on Monday to announce his next major career choice.
Along with a short video depicting James approaching a table and sitting down for what appears to be an interview, the following message was relayed in the post's caption on X:
"The decision of all decisions. October 7th. 12pm EST."
Of course, this is a callback to 'The Decision,' a televised event from the summer of 2010 when James revealed that he'd be taking his talents to South Beach to join Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat as a free agent.
As the future Hall-of-Famer prepares for his 23rd NBA campaign, many cannot help but wonder if James will be calling it a career after the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

James will turn 41 years old on Dec. 30th, and it's plausible to believe that he could kick off his farewell tour with this latest announcement.
On the other hand, it's not unrealistic to think that the savvy entrepreneur could be using this occasion to launch a new business venture.
In any case, expect a shocking update from the Lakers' 4-time NBA Finals MVP on Tuesday at noon.
