The Boston Celtics lost to the New York Knicks on Monday, 121-113. Suddenly, the Celtics are one game away from being eliminated from the playoffs just one year after winning the NBA Finals.
But, the story of Game 4 was the injury to Jayson Tatum. The Celtics superstar scored 42 points but had to leave late in the game with a non-contact injury.

Right away, it seems that Tatum might've torn his Achilles which would be a devastating blow to one of the best players in the NBA.
There were plenty of reactions, and Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes was one of them.
"Prayers up man," Mahomes wrote on X with a series of praying hands emojis.
Prayers up man….. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

As of now, nobody knows the diagnosis for Tatum, and Joe Mazzulla said there is an MRI scheduled for the star on Tuesday.
It's heartbreaking for Tatum, who had 42 points, eight rebounds and four assists on 16-of-28 from the field with seven 3-pointers before suffering the injury.
It was his best performance of the postseason, and it came at a time when the Celtics needed it the most.
Now, there is a chance Tatum is out for the rest of the postseason, and the start of his 2025-26 season would be in jeopardy if it is an Achilles tear.
