For the second year in a row, new names have been added to the NCAA single-season home run leaderboard.

In 2022, it was Texas' Ivan Melendez with 32 home runs in 65 games. This year, it's Florida's Jac Caglianone with 33 in 70 games and Wake Forest's Brock Wilken with 31 in 66 games.

Both sluggers had the opportunity to pad those numbers at the College World Series. Caglianone passed Melended with a pair of homers in the Gators' 24-4 rout of LSU in Game 2 of the finals on Sunday.

Top-seeded Wake Forest was seeking its first CWS title since 1955, powered by Wilken. Florida's last CWS title came in 2017. It will play the Tigers for the 2023 championship Monday night in Game 3.
